Why I started IT Handyman
I've been fixing computers since before it was a career. Growing up, I was always the one friends and family called when something went wrong with their PC — and I genuinely enjoyed solving the puzzle. After a decade working in IT, I decided to take that same expertise and put it to work for the people who need it most: ordinary households and small businesses who don't have an IT department to call.
I set up IT Handyman because I was tired of seeing people get ripped off or talked down to by big tech companies. You shouldn't need to understand the difference between RAM and a hard drive to get your computer fixed. You just need someone you can trust to turn up, sort it out, and explain what happened in plain English.
It doesn't matter if you're a café with a printer that won't behave, a plumber whose laptop has given up, or a family who can't get the Wi-Fi working — we can help. No job is too small, and no question is too basic.
When we're not on a call-out, we're based in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire. We cover all of Warwickshire and Leicestershire — towns, villages, the lot — within a 50-mile radius, and we offer remote support for customers anywhere in the UK.
